Premier Jay Weatherill will open Sounds x South Australia, a two-week series of industry events presented by Musitec. Musitec is South Australia’s new music industry cluster organisation, developing local and global opportunities for music, technology and creative industries through strategic collaborations.

Sounds x SA will be launched at 4.30pm on Saturday, 13 September at St Paul’s Creative Centre with special guests, including
·       Martin Elbourne – Live Music Thinker in Residence, The Great Escape & Glastonbury Festival
·       Avery McTaggart – The Windish Agency
·       Adam Ryan – The Great Escape and
·       Stu MacQueen – Wonderlick Entertainment.

The launch event will include a public panel discussion on “the state of live music and expanding into new territories”. As part of his continuing support for the music industry in South Australia, the Premier will launch Sounds x SA, and highlight some of the commitments that have been made since last year’s Live Music Thinker in Residence “Reverb” report. Musitec Managing Director, David Grice, will also reveal some of Musitec’s exciting plans for the next 12 months.

The first day of the Sounds x SA program will conclude with a showcase of the 2014 Robert Stigwood Artist Fellows at the Jade Monkey. This is a free event open to all industry practitioners and participants.
