After eleven years service, Music SA is sad to announce Digital Marketing Manager, Elizabeth Reid is moving on to take up the dual role of Community Liaison for St Paul’s Creative Centre and Program Officer for the Music Development Office.

Music SA General Manager Lisa Bishop said “Elizabeth has been a highly valued member of the Music SA team.  She is intelligent, extremely productive and a joy to work with … in the last 18 months she has taken on new challenges such as FRUSIC, courses marketing and Umbrella, not to mention our fabulous website and the increased engagement she has achieved through digital promotions.”

“We are sorry to see Elizabeth go, but thank her for her years of dedication, enthusiasm, passion and hard work for Music SA. She has contributed an enormous amount throughout her time with us,” says Music SA Chair of the Board Anne Wiberg.

Elizabeth began her role at Music SA as Project Officer for the then fledgling website, a time which even pre-dated the explosion of social media! Since then she has spearheaded 4 re-builds of the website, initiated and managed all social media profiles and other digital content, and has become the online voice for the company. Working with a diverse array of artists, venues and music businesses has been a particular joy of hers, and she is thrilled with the support received for Music SA’s directories, which have grown from a mere 30 band listings to showcasing nearly 900 SA music industry / artists. Recent times has seen her expand into more prominent marketing tasks and project management, much to her delight.

Of her time at Music SA, Elizabeth reflects “I have felt very fortunate to have grown along with my colleagues and with the business over the years, and it has become an integral part of my life. My enthusiasm for Music SA is as strong as ever, and it’s been a dream role to be in daily contact with such inspiring and creative artists and members of the SA music industry. Music SA has an amazing, energetic and passionate team, and I’m grateful that I won’t have to go far to see them all!”

In Elizabeth’s absence, we are delighted to welcome new team members Skye Lockwood, who brings a wealth of experience in marketing (and is a high achieving artist herself as part of Auguste), and fellow singer/songwriter Trent Worley, who brings his track record of friendly community engagement. Outstanding publicist & muso Koral Chandler has taken on Music SA as a client after a busy season as Publicist for the Garden of Unearthly Delights. Musician and well-loved teacher Matt Hayward has also expanded his role in our accredited Music Business Courses, while Luke Penman re-joins Music SA as Project Coordinator for exciting new festival “Umbrella – Winter City Sounds.”

They join Music SA stalwarts, Nev de Boar, Emma Coyle, Gareth Wilkes, Adam Vanderwerf (The Dunes), Joel Byrne (Wolf and Cub), Dale Taylor (The Cities Alight), Rob Pippan (one of Adelaide’s most respected musicians), and an amazing list of guest trainers and tutors including Daisy Brown (Kiss Punch Music – Bad Cop, The Misery Theatre) , Jett Heysen-Hicks (Tracer), Warwick Scott (Skunkhour) and Jessica Braithwaite (Channel 9).

In addition to Elizabeth’s new role with the MDO, she will also continue as Director of E Major, an Adelaide based project consultancy specialising in the music industry, as well as pursuing her passion as a performing artist and songwriter for Americana/Folk trio Brillig. A trip to Americanafest in Nashville and Southeast USA tour are on the cards for later in 2016.

Congratulations Elizabeth on your new role.  We will miss you so much and are pleased you are still in the building!
