The Producers hotel sure has a long history – originally established as the Woodman Inn way back in 1839. These days it’s a versatile live music venue that caters to a variety of crowds, genres and events.

On Thursday evenings, it is home to Open Grave Records’ CACTUS, a live folk music night featuring contrasting lineups of local and interstate talent in a laidback setting. Fridays and Saturdays see the beer garden and warehouse spaces activated by a variety of bands and artists from week to week, playing everything from hardcore and punk to psychedelia and electronica. The Producers is also proud to host the RAW Showcase four times a year, an exhilarating night in celebration of local artists, musicians, fashion designers, dancers, make-up artists, photographers, and performers.

During Fringe, it’s putting on over 50 acts of all sorts throughout the festival, and features some delightful shows in the official Music program.

Darwin artist Emma Rowe has chosen the venue as the site of her “PRE-launch” show for her upcoming EP, filled with sweet acoustic sounds. Award-winning Adelaide a capella act The Festival Statesmen will show why they’re a popular choice for national festivals after two years on the road with the aptly named “Homecoming” show. Local folkies Lighthouses share the secrets to their quirky songs with “The Meaning of Lyrics” – a must see for creative artists who love being immersed in the process of songwriting.

ProducersHotelThe Producers is a mere 1 minute walk from the Garden of Unearthly Delights, and with their full suite of shows (music, cabaret, theatre, comedy & more), it’s truly “like the entire Fringe under one roof!”
