The Wheaty and Waits – now that’s a good combination!
So are the artists involved in bringing their Fringe show to the Thebarton venue, “Beautiful Blue – Songs in the Key of Tom Waits”, including Nigel Wearne (VIC), Cal Williams Jr, Emily Davis, Jed Rowe (VIC), Astro Cobalt “and a few surprises!”
This is no mere tribute show, though…
These talented songwriters present original music inspired by the twisted tales of Tom Waits, an homage if you will, and a demonstration of how the man, the music, the art, the bizarre have all inspired new works.
It’s the ‘Book of Tom’, tailor made.
