Vincent’s Chair

Vincent’s Chair is the brainchild of Australian singer-songwriter, Kathie Renner, a creative artist who writes from the heart about her observations on life. With her rich versatile voice and band of musicians from varying musical backgrounds, they present all-original beautifully crafted songs which eshew stylistic boundaries.

Vincent’s Chair have delighted audiences across Australia, and have the experience of five European tours establishing them as international performers. 2015 sees them further strengthening this bond with a return tour to Germany and France booked for September/October.

The name Vincent’s Chair is now synonymous with beautiful and intricate arrangements, thought provoking lyrics and sensitively captured moments. The group present contemporary acoustic songs with a strong focus on the craft of songwriting, influenced by the likes of songwriting greats Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon.

Their set-up of Kathie Renner (singer-songwriter), Karen DeNardi (viola), Sam Leske (guitar) and Holly Thomas (percussion) gives perfect balance to the dynamic interplay between the musicians as they perform songs with folk, latin, african, blues and orchestral sounds.

Their latest CD offering, ‘The New Vibe’, was launched to a full house at Adelaide Festival Centre, Space Theatre. This highly anticipated CD, has gained excellent reviews in Australia, USA and Europe.
