ARBA (Adelaide Roots and Blues Association) has announced the inaugural “ARBA Memphis Blues Challenge”, representing the SA heats of the International Blues Challenge.

The latter is the annual “World Cup” of the blues held by The Blues Foundation each January in Memphis, Tennessee.

Now, thanks to not-for-profit group ARBA, the local winner of each of two categories (“band” and “solo/duo”) will represent ARBA and South Australia at the International comp in January of 2016.

Adelaide heats take place at Semaphore Workers Club in June with three heats held across three evenings (19th, 20th and 21st June) and the finals on 28th June.

Applications are now open.
