Results are in! AMIN (The Australian Music Industry Network) recently surveyed its members on the financial costs of working as a professional musician, particularly those relevant to travel, insurance and accounting.

According to the findings, trying to make a career out of being a musician in Australia requires a lot of personal investment. Most musicians have other full-time work, yet still spend an average of $150 every week on their music career.

AMIN hopes to use the results to help support its members’ needs, including advice on super or insurance, as well as to negotiate further savings through partnerships with travel-oriented companies.
