2024 MusicSA Cert III Course in Music (Performance)
(SACE Stage Two; Recommended for Yr 11 & 12)
CUA30920 Certificate III in Music (Performance) is delivered under a third party arrangement with the COSAMP – RTO Code: 41549. The AQF certification will be issued by COSAMP.
Available to students studying SACE 1 or 2, the course provides a professional and sound overview of the music industry, with a focus on live performance. It is suitable to students looking to grow their industry knowledge, thrive in the industry, and to spark a career as a live musician.
Completion of the course will earn students 50.7 SACE points towards their SATAC.
The Certificate III in Music (Performance) is delivered by highly experienced industry professionals, who provide key training and education in the following areas:
- Original songwriting
- Production
- Stagecraft
- Live performance
- Marketing
- Legislation & Copyright
- Creative Arts industry knowledge and career planning
- Work Health Safety (including mental & physical safety within the workplace)
- Resume & online portfolio building
The comprehensive curriculum covers a range of music industry skills and is applicable to all forms of music and genres of music. The practical, technical and operational skills that students learn throughout the course are delivered in state-of-the-art facilities in a hands-on learning approach.
Students will have the opportunity throughout the course to write and record their own songs, which will be entered into the national triple j Unearthed High competition. Students are also given the opportunity to showcase their talents through numerous live performances over the year.

2024 Course Commencement Dates
34 weeks, 1 day a week, commencing Friday 10th February 2024 (Week 2, Term 1). Classes will run on:
- Fridays 9:30am to 3:30pm
- (Thursdays 9:30am to 3:30pm if Friday class exceeds maximum of 15 enrolments)
