Nominations for the 2021 South Australian Music Awards are now closed, after garnering a record number of entrants this year! With so much old and new South Aussie talent involved, this year’s ceremony will celebrate many different niches of our talented local music industry. In even more exciting news, today the SAM Awards reveal their nominees for this year’s multiple People’s Choice categories, along with the all-important venue and event details for the November ceremony.
As the awards night edges closer, we can now also confirm that Bridget Hustwaite, host of ‘Good Nights’ on triple j will host the 2021 event! The night will be held in a COVID-safe outdoor format on the evening of Thursday 18 November on the grounds of the Adelaide Gaol.
Excited to be once again hosted during Australian Music Month, the organisers of the SAM Awards are looking forward to celebrating with the South Australian music community, while looking forward to 2022. As a UNESCO City of Music, Adelaide has become a hub of creativity for musicians in recent years, with national and international attention being drawn to the number of artists who have been taking their art beyond SA, out to the world
