Described as the love child of John Mayer and Jamiroquai, Brenton Foster Band fuses pop sensitivity and sentiment with insatiable grooves and melodies.
Born in 2009 to showcase the songwriting of its namesake, Brenton Foster Band has rapidly become Adelaide’s finest up and coming pop-rock outfit, garnering public acclaim from patrons and venues each time they perform. Having studied music together at Uni, the guys had been performing together for several years before the advent of Brenton Foster Band, often performing alongside some of the world’s finest jazz and popular musicians visiting Adelaide.
It was always the band’s intention to head to the studio quickly, and in July 2010, Brenton Foster Band began recording their debut, full-length album 'You Said' with producer Brett Taylor. 'You Said' was ready for release on December 3, 2010 at the Ed Castle, and is available on iTunes and bandcamp.
This year sees Brenton Foster Band continue its rapid rise within the Australian music scene. The band has been busy writing and preparing for active touring throughout South Australia and beyond later this year, as well as performing regularly in Adelaide and Melbourne.
You can catch their next Adelaide show on Friday 13th May when they enjoy their long awaited return to fine music venue, The Promethean, with support by fellow local act, Georgia Germein. Performing songs from 'You Said' as well as debuting some new ones, Friday 13 May will be a huge night on Adelaide’s music calendar.
Be one of the lucky ones, avoid the black cats, and be there. Tickets are available at the door for $15. Doors open 7:30pm.
