Like Leaves are a psychedelic, atmospheric prog-rock band comprised of Daniel Varricchio (Guitar/Vocals), Patrick Saracino (Bass/Vocals), Ryan Manolakis (Drums) and Juliet Hunter (Violin/Vocals).
Since coming together as a 4-piece in November 2008, Like Leaves have been hand-picked several times to support fellow psych-rockers Tame Impala and Wolf & Cub and also have had the honour of performing an improvised, collaborative set with Krautrock legend Damo Suzuki (Germany). In the past two years the band has also shared the stage with acts as diverse as Leader Cheetah, Chris Corsano (USA - Bjork's drummer!), D.Z. (Qld), The Silents (WA) and Die Die Die (NZ), as well as headlining a Coopers Alive 2009 showcase at the Ed Castle.
2010 has been a busy and productive year and Like Leaves are immensely excited to be launching their debut, self-titled album at Jive on January 14, 2011. The album was recorded and mixed by the band in collaboration with Evan James (The Mark of Cain, Pharaohs) and mastered by John Golden (Sonic Youth, Melvins, Comets On Fire). The launch promises to be a show not to be missed with Lady Strangelove and Steering By Stars on board as support acts, guest DJs and live-visuals. Following on from the Adelaide album launch, Like Leaves will be undertaking an interstate promotional tour in early 2011 in support of the album.
