“Goddamn, a two-man one-man band!”
Colourise have been around since sometime in '09 when Kahl threw some old songs at Mick that had been lying around gathering dust. "ouch", said Mick, dusting himself off, "those songs are heavy man", and thus a band was born. Both men sit down in the blues tradition but also draw on punk, pop and rock sensibilities, drawing comparisons with the White Stripes - although without any of the fake brother/sister, ex-husband/wife stuff, oh, or any of the same colour schemes...well maybe they're not really that much like the White stripes, but they're definitely a two-piece that's different to most other musical duos...come check them out and you'll be certain to see cymbals smacked with bass heads, flying V's being strangulated and you might just hear a Cypress Hill cover or two amongst their own hook-laden originals...
Catch Colourise Thurs 25th @ Live on Light Square as part of the Fuse Festival Ignition Showcase
