Semaphore Music Fest Supporting Local Talent
At the crossroads of alt. country, roots & blues, rock-a-billy, indie pop/rock, folk/punk and insanity, the Semaphore Music Festival will give you another long weekend you will never forget, from 3 - 6 October.
The Festival will feature free Outdoor Concerts on the Semaphore Foreshore Reserve on Saturday, Sunday and Monday plus shows at Worker’s Club, Semaphore Hotel, Semaphore RSL , Federal Hotel and The Palais.
It kicks off Friday Night with ‘ mixedinblack’ a showcase of Indigenous singer songwriters and bands at the RSL - local legends The Hiptones with sublime Jayne-anne Power at the Workers Club, The Rustlers at the Semaphore Hotel and The Texettes and if you want to have a go - an open mic at the Fed.
On Saturday from high noon its Rock and Roll High School with bands from Henley, Seaton, Le Fevre, and Oceanview facing the music on the Foreshore Reserve. Check out the Federal later for The Cowtippers, The Workers Club have Lonely Cosmonauts and from Victoria - Austin Floyd. Gypsy band Goyim and Goldstein are at the Semaphore Hotel, and Mallee girl Jeanette Wormald with Steve Foster at the Semaphore RSL.
The main event is another free concert on the Semaphore Foreshore Reserve on Sunday with the Adelaide Ukulele Appreciation Society, with Emily Davis Trio sensational alt.country rockers The Yearlings , Fiddle Chicks and local guitar hero Cal Williams Jnr . The Huckleberry Swedes and The Streamliners @ the Workers Club; The Beggars & Creole Cowboys @ The RSL; Brillig & Longhorn @ Semaphore Pub Front Bar, & Austin Floyd @ The Fed
Monday is the showdown grand finale on the Foreshore Reserve with indie-rock bands Black Knight , The Hoodoo Voodoo Dolls, Southpoor and Brenton Manser &The Disciples of Zen.
There will be market stalls, good food and music. Bring your banana lounge, hats and sunscreen. Sponsored by City of Port Adelaide Enfield, Arts SA, SA Tourism, Derringers, and The Kite Shop.
IN THE EVENT OF RAIN FREE CONCERTS WILL BE HELD IN THE RSL.
