ARE THERE JOBS AVAILABLE **OR** CAN I DO WORK EXPERIENCE?

Music SA is a non-profit organisation, and new opportunities for paid employment are extremely limited. But if you wish to submit a CV for Music SA to keep on file, please email it to daniel@musichouse.org.au or post to "Attn: Music SA - Employment", Level 1, Corner of North Terrace & Morphett Street, Adelaide SA 5000. As staff are part-time and office space is also quite limited, work experience is not generally possible. However, Music SA runs regular events for the music industry (e.g. Louder Than Words, SAMI Awards, Coopers Alive, Music SA Quiz Night Fundraiser), and there may be volunteer opportunities. Contact the General Manager or Industry Development Officer for details. The website also has a Review Panel of SA-based personnel who contribute to CD and live reviews. For details on becoming involved, go to Reviews>>.

HOW DO I LOGIN TO MY LISTING?

Go to the top right of the Homepage (or News or Events) and enter the Username & Password that you chose when you sign up for your listing.

HOW DO I FIND MY LOST PASSWORD?

A Password Retrieval function is located in the Login box. Click on the link and follow the prompts. Once logged in, you can also change your password via a link on the Login box. Please note, for the Password Retrieval function to work, you will need to use the email address you submitted when you signed up for your listing.

HOW DO I UPDATE MY LISTING?

You will need your Username & Password, which you chose when you signed up for your listing Login at the top right of the Homepage (as described above).  (NOTE: Usernames & Passwords for the Music SA FORUM are separate to your Listing Login details). Once logged in, follow the online instructions in the left column of the panel. Be sure to 'Save' all content that you enter, and 'Send Live' to make sure the new /edited content appears online.

WHY ISN'T MY NEW LISTING OR CONTENT APPEARING ONLINE?

Make sure you click the 'Send Live' buttons on the management console. You must also 'Save' your content, before going to other pages on the console. Otherwise, your content will revert to the previous version. If your listing is new, your name will not appear in the Directory page until you have added, saved, and 'sent live' your content for the first time.

WHY AREN'T MY MEDIA FILES UPLOADING?

The limit for media files on Music SA is 30mb. Videos or other content larger than this will fail to upload. The best formats to use are the standard .mp3 or mp4 (h.264) files, but the system also supports flv, aac, mp4, mov, and YouTube urls.  Alternatively, you can use weblinks for photos / mp3s.  HOWEVER, the site will ONLY accept links that directly point to / open the actual files. For example, an mp3 weblink should point to where the actual mp3 is stored online (e.g. http://www.mybandsite.com/mytrack.mp3), and NOT a webpage where the file is listed (e.g. www.mybandsite.com/audiolist).  Weblinks that open another website will be removed by Music SA. This policy exists to maintain easy navigation, the integrity of cross-reference tools built into Music SA (e.g. mp3s appear on your page and in the Listening Room automatically) and content control. Don't forget to include "http://" when adding links. If you still have trouble, email the Website Co-Ordinator for assistance with uploads. Please do not send the actual files unless requested.
